President's Message:

I hope everyone is staying warm as we are well below the ASHRAE heating design temperature today.  I know this is something everyone in the HVAC industry looks forward to.  I am sure everyone that went to the ASHRAE Winter Conference in Atlanta enjoyed much warmer temperatures!

If you are looking to warm up a little, I would suggest considering attending our Joint CRC with Region X this coming August in San Diego.  The high temperature today in San Diego is 65°F encase anyone was curious.  We are working on the Nebraska hospitality suite and trying to arrange it on the beach!

A quick reminder of a couple upcoming events as well.  The annual Nebraska Architectural Engineering Conference (NAEC) is coming up on February 28th.  This year the conference will be hosted at the Scott Conference Center and contains 10 technical sessions on different building system technologies and applications.   The other event coming up is the Nebraska ASHRAE Government Outreach Day on February 19th.  Our GAC committee, Jim Butler and Tyler Glesne, have put a lot of effort in putting this event together and I hope we are able to fill all the available volunteer spots.

Sincerely,

Shaun Nienhueser

Nebraska Chapter President 2018-2019
