Thermal Imaging Technology - HVAC and Beyond with Doug Hampton

Zoom Meeting, Link provided upon registration and payment

Tuesday, January 26th; presentation starts at 12:00 p.m.

Heat transfer is all around us. In HVAC, the transfer of heat is core to the business.  However, heat transfer is not exclusive to HVAC. It can be a factor in electrical infrastructure, roofing, the auto industry, manufacturing…. The list goes on. Using easily attainable technology to decode the emissions of Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR), we can see heat transfer with our own eyes! This presentation briefly dives into the vast world of Thermal Imaging. We will discuss the basic science of the technology as well as a few examples of how to use it. If we are to use the tools effectively, we must have a basic understanding of the science.

Doug Hampton is part of the Trane ‘Heartland Region’ Intelligent Services Team, helping customers with their energy and operational needs. Doug is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers and an Energy Management Professional (EMP) through the Energy Management Association. He holds a commissioning credential through the University of Wisconsin Madison and is a certified thermographer. Doug has over 25 years of experience in the HVAC field as a service and automation technician, commissioning agent, and energy engineer, as well as 8 years as a thermographer.

**Note: Registration is per person for a single presentation connection for individual use and may not be shared with other users. All registrants must individually register for the desired course to participate and receive continuing education credit.
