Jim received his BSEE from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1988. Upon graduation, he began his career with the Omaha area consulting firm of Leo A. Daly Company, next moving to the engineering firm of Alvine and Associates, in both cases working as an Electrical Engineer designing and working with a wide variety of facility electrical systems. In 1994 he joined Kucirek Engineering as Director of Electrical Engineering and continued consulting, primarily for the Union Pacific Railroad. From 1996 to present, he has held various positions at OPPD including Protection Engineer, Sr. Protection Engineer, Principal Substation Engineer, Lead Substation Design Engineer, Manager-Protection and Automation Engineering, and his present position as Principal Engineer – Integrated Energy Marketplace. Jim is a Senior Member of IEEE and is a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in Nebraska and Iowa.
