Karen Stelling is a Professor of Practice in the Engineering College at the University of Nebraska –Lincoln (UNL) where she teaches students about professional ethics and other professional soft skills required in the workforce. She is past president of the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers (NeSPE), and is an NSPE fellow. She has 25 years of experience in consulting engineering with Burns & McDonnell. Her efforts have included design, construction oversight, project management, turning around project and facility teams, and leadership as an officer. She has a BSME degree from UNL and an MBA from UMKC.
